We are group of students from The Univeristy of Hong Kong (Master in Environmental Management). We are actively investigating the issues on WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electronic Equipement) in Hong Kong.
Do you know how much of WEEE we generated yearly?
The answer is 70000 tonnes !! Part of the WEEE were properly treated and the other waste materials we sent to our landfills.
In our study, we collected data from secondary school and university to investigate how studnets aware to the issue.
Similar to our expectation, we found out that students only have basic awareness to the situation, sharing and further engagment in the future will be needed.
